In fact spearfishing covers very different practices which vary according to the technique used, the place of practice, the state of the sea and the prey sought. Between picking up sea urchins in 5 - 6 meters of water and hunting tuna at 25 meters, the equipment will obviously not be the same. A long fin will be perfect to go down and up with a minimum of effort, but it will not be suitable for shore spearfishing. If there is current we will prefer flexibility and a high frequency rather than a hard fin and a large amplitude. The spearfisher's size and the desired depth will also determine the choice of stiffness. Finally, a good footpocket is essential, besides a perfect comfort, it must ensure an excellent  energy transfer from the leg to the blade. So you have to choose it very carefully.
