The cutting of prepregs

  • A complex phase during which cuts of different shapes and sizes must be optimized in 6 different types of pre-impregnated taking into account the type of weaving
  • We manufacture on demand. The elements of a pair of fins of 82 cm should be nested with those of a 45 cm fin: each cut is different!
  • Digital cutting allows precise fiber orientations from 0 to 90°
2nd step

The stacking

  • Layers of different shapes and sizes to be precisely positioned
  • Each layer adheres immediately, not the right to error!
  • Work of marquetry. Requires a lot of care in the installation
3rd step

Manufacture and installation of decors

  • As many decoration sizes as fins sizes
  • Our decorations are not stickers, they are placed on the blade before curing and are therefore an integral part of it
  • Each decoration must be positioned with great precision because it will also be used to align the footpocket
4th step

Curing

  • The cooking of the pre-impregnated is done under vacuum by a process that we have developed and which allows to reduce the volume of the consumables
  • Each blade is precisely positioned by hand
  • Different techniques developed over the years allow us to obtain, after polymerization, very high quality blades without any porosity and with excellent compaction of the different layers
5th step

Water rails set up

  • All water rails are installed by hand
  • This operation requires a great dexterity, the glue takes very fast, no second chance if it is misplaced
6th step

Footpocket set up

  • Whatever it is, the footpocket must be perfectly positioned on the blade
  • For bespoke footpockets, positioning varies depending on size
  • It takes a very good knowledge of the particularities of each foot to make a made to measure Footpocket
  • This operation requires a great dexterity, the glue takes very fast, no second chance if it is misplaced.
